§ 159.466 JUNK OR SALVAGE YARDS.
No junk or salvage yard may continue as a nonconforming use for a period of more than one year after the effective date of this chapter, except that a junkyard may continue as a nonconforming use in the commercial or industrial district if, within that period, it is completely enclosed within a building or within a continuous solid fence of such height as to screen the operations of the junk or salvage yard. Plans for such building or fence must be approved by the Public Works Director or his or her designee before the same is erected.
