Any building, structure or use lawfully existing as of September 15, 1961, may be continued as a nonconforming use even though such building, structure or use does not conform with the provisions of the ordinance codified in this title for the use district in which it is located.

B.

Similarly, whenever a use district is changed after said date, the then existing lawful use may be continued.

(Ord. 77 § 6.1, 1961.)

18.56.020 - Extension or alteration—Conformance required.

No building, structure or premises containing a nonconforming use shall be extended after September 15, 1961, unless such extension or alteration conforms to the provisions of the use district in which it is located.
