Agriculture District

§ 300-32 Purpose.

The purpose of the Agriculture District is to permit, protect and encourage the continued use of agriculture as a viable activity. This district is comprised of prime agricultural land which is located entirely within the one-hundred-year floodplain of the Susquehanna River. The Agriculture District provides for a productive use with minimum property damage potential. Any associated development (e.g., farm structures) must be consistent with the municipal floodplain regulations (see Article XII).

§ 300-33 Use regulations.

A. 
Permitted uses.
(1) 
Accessory use/structures (see supplemental regulations in Article X);
(2) 
Cultivation of crops (no permit required);
(3) 
Essential services (no zoning permit required);
(4) 
Home occupation (see supplemental regulations in Article XI).

§ 300-34 Height and coverage requirements.

A. 
Maximum building coverage: 5% of lot area.
B. 
Maximum impervious surface: 10% of lot area.
C. 
Maximum building height: 45 feet.

§ 300-35 Minimum areas and dimensions.

A. 
Minimum lot area: 10 acres.
B. 
Minimum lot width: 200 feet.
C. 
Minimum yards.
(1) 
Front: 50 feet.
(2) 
Side: 50 feet.
(3) 
Rear: 50 feet.
