DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

Sec. 26-148. - Resolution of conflicts.

(a)

Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any aforementioned districts as shown on the zoning map, the following rules shall apply:

(1)

Unless otherwise shown on the zoning map, the boundary lines of districts or zones are lot lines, street centerlines, creeks and streams, railroad rights-of-way.

(2)

Where the district boundaries are indicated as approximately following the corporate limit, such corporate limit line shall be construed to be such boundary.

(b)

Where the boundary lines of districts or zones do not coincide with lot lines, the centerlines of streets, creeks and streams, railroad rights-of-way, or the incorporated city limit line, such district or zone boundaries shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on the zoning map.

Sec. 26-149. - Boundary changes.

(a)

If, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, changes are made in the district boundaries or other information portrayed in the official zoning map, changes shall be made on the official zoning map by the zoning board promptly, after the amendment has been approved by the mayor and city council.

(b)

Regardless of the existence of purported copies of the official zoning map which may from time to time be made or published, the final authority as to the current zoning status of land in the city shall be the official zoning map as adopted and amended by the mayor and city council.
