Outdoor Sheds and Storage Facilities; Dish-Type Antennas

§ 365-108 Distance from property line; height restriction. [1]

No outdoor shed or storage facility may be erected closer than five feet to any property line, nor may such structure exceed 12 feet in height.

§ 365-109 Fee.

Upon application prior to the issuance of a permit, there shall be paid to the Borough of Lindenwold, through the office of the Construction Official, a fee for an outdoor shed or storage facility as prescribed in Chapter 150, Fees, Article I, Fee Schedule, § 150-45.

§ 365-110 Dish-type antennas.

A. 
Definition of dish antennas. A "dish-type antenna" is defined as a saucer or circular-shaped antenna functioning as an antenna for reception of television programming. Such objects are also known as "satellite dishes," "satellite earth stations" and "home video earth stations."
B. 
Regulating dish-type antennas. Dish-type antennas shall be regulated in the Borough of Lindenwold in accordance with this section.
C. 
Location. A property owner in the Borough of Lindenwold is permitted to install and/or erect one dish-type antenna on such owner's property. The dish-type antenna should be installed at ground level in the rear yard of the property. If, however, installation of the dish antenna in the rear yard at ground level would result in interference with reasonable satellite television reception, then installation of the dish-type antenna on the side yard would be permitted. If installation in the side yard still produces interference with reasonable satellite television reception, then the satellite may be mounted on the roof. Mounting on the rear portion of the roof must first be explored. Only if rear mounting cannot be done due to the interference with reasonable satellite television reception signal will front roof mounting be permitted. The dish-type antenna, its foundation pad and supportive structure must be a minimum of 10 feet from the property line, provided that said placement does not interfere with reasonable satellite television reception. If said placement does result in interference with reasonable satellite television reception, then the owner will be permitted to erect the antenna, its foundation and supporting structure as close to the property line as may be necessary to achieve reasonable satellite television reception.

D. 
Height and area. The dish-type antenna, its foundation pad and supportive structure may not exceed a maximum height of 12 feet above ground level and may not exceed a maximum of 12 feet of antenna surface area.
E. 
Construction permit. A construction permit must be obtained before the installation or erection of a dish antenna.
