ARTICLE I

Title, Interpretation and Validity

Section 405.010 Short Title.

A. 
This Chapter and any subsequent amendments hereto shall be known as the "Zoning Code" of the City of Louisiana, Missouri.
B. 
The intent of this Chapter is to establish zoning standards which promote the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Louisiana, Missouri.

Section 405.015 Interpretation of Chapter.

In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this Zoning Code shall be held to be the minimum requirements adopted for the promotion of public health, safety or general welfare. Whenever the requirements of this Zoning Code are at variance with the requirements of any other adopted rules, regulations or ordinances, the most restrictive or that imposing the higher standards shall govern.

Section 405.020 Validity.

If for any reason any Section, Subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Zoning Code is held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion.
