- ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONING DISTRICTS
Madison Township is hereby divided into the following zoning districts:
The zoning districts as provided in Section 3.1 of this ordinance are bounded and defined on a map entitled, "Official Zoning Map, Madison Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, dated _______," which map, with all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby adopted as a part of this ordinance.
3.2.1.
Identification of Official Zoning Map. The Official Zoning Map shall be identified by the signature of the Township Supervisor, attested by the Clerk. The Official Zoning Map shall be located in the office of the Clerk and available for examination.
Except where specifically designated on the Official Zoning Map, the zoning district boundary lines are intended to follow lot lines, the centerlines of streets or alleys, the centerlines of creeks, streams, or rivers, the centerlines of streets or alleys projected, centerlines of railroad rights-of-way lines, section lines, one-quarter section lines, one-eighth section lines, or a corporate limit line, all as they existed at the time of the enactment of this ordinance, as subsequently modified and designated as such boundary line. Where a district boundary does not coincide with any of the above lines, the district boundary lines shall be dimensioned on the official Zoning Map.
When the location of a district boundary is uncertain, the Board of Appeals shall interpret the exact location of the district boundary.
