CHAPTER 1161

C-2 General Commercial District

1161.01 PURPOSE.

   The C-2 General Commercial District is established principally to serve those persons wishing to participate in commercial recreation or in commercial activity involving repair facilities, large storage areas or drive-in businesses.

1161.02 PERMITTED USES.

   (a)   All uses permitted in the C-l Central Business District.
   (b)   Bowling alleys.
   (c)   Indoor skating rinks.
   (d)   Theaters.
   (e)   Amusement parks.
   (f)   Drive-in banks.
   (g)   Lumber yards for retail lumber sales.
   (h)   Veterinary hospitals.
   (i)   Commercial parking lots.
   (j)   Similar main uses as determined by the Planning Commission.
   (k)   Child day care centers.
   (l)   Recreation camps.
   (m)   Recreation facilities.
   (n)   Bed and breakfast operations.

1161.03 CONDITIONALLY PERMITTED USES.

   The following are conditionally permitted uses in the C-2 General Commercial District, subject to Section 1169.04(o):
   (a)   Farm implement sales and services.
   (b)   Repair garages.

1161.04 AREA REGULATIONS.

   (a)   If a commercial building is located on a lot adjoining a residential district, such building or parking area shall have front setback of not less than ten (10) feet and a side yard of not less than ten (10) feet on the adjoining side. Main and accessory commercial buildings shall have a rear yard of not less than twenty (20) feet when adjoining a residential district.
   (b)   Height Regulations. No building shall exceed thirty-five (35) feet in height, except for accessory structures such as radio towers, antennas, flag poles and chimneys.
   (c)   Off-street parking shall be as regulated by Chapter 1173 .
