Adoption Of Zoning Plan

§ 10.05.0100 Adoption.

There is adopted a systematic zoning plan for the city. This plan is adopted to promote and protect the public health, safety, peace, morals, comfort and general welfare.

§ 10.05.0110 Purpose.

The general purpose of this chapter is to provide regulations needed to implement the Millbrae General Plan for the physical development of the city.
Accordingly, this zoning plan is adopted to:
A. 
Protect the established character, social and economic values of residential, commercial, industrial, recreational and other areas within the city which have developed in a healthy and orderly manner;
B. 
Encourage beneficial development of those areas which have grown with conflicting or inefficient patterns of use; and
C. 
Assist in providing a definite and publicly approved plan of development to guide, control and stimulate the future growth of the city in accordance with the needs of the community and in proper relation to other land use in the city and the region.

§ 10.05.0120 Short title.

This chapter shall be known by the following short title: "The Millbrae Zoning Ordinance."
