1 Shopping
centers consisting of five or more businesses and a min. of 200 feet of street frontage may have one additional freestanding sign not greater than 150 square feet.
2 Such
signs shall not flash and shall be "on" only during posted hours of business.
3 Temporary
signs and other exempt signs shall not count toward sign allotment for each business.
(f)
Sign standards: B-2, B-3, I-1 and I-2 districts.
(1)
Except for businesses located within a shopping center, any business located within B-2, B-3, I-1 and I-2 districts shall be limited to displaying no greater than 2 square feet of signage per foot of building width facing the street, and in no case shall any business display greater than 100 square feet of signage per building width frontage except within the B-2 district and located within 400 feet of the right-of-way of an interstate interchange may allow an aggregate sign area of 400 square feet. Signs in industrial districts, up to 40 square feet shall be setback at least ten feet and signs larger than 40 square feet shall be setback at least 20 feet. Individual signs shall be limited in their size and placement according to the regulations in Table 5 below.

Any business located within a shopping center in B-2 and B-3 Districts shall be limited to displaying no greater than 1.5 square feet of signage per foot of linear building width, with no individual business displaying greater than 100 square feet of signage per building width. Such wall mounted signs shall not be limited in area as provided in Table 5 below for businesses not located within a shopping center. The maximum height of such wall mounted signs shall be 15 feet above grade level. All other signage shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
