Appendix A

Schedule of Fees, Charges, and Expenses

The Common Council shall, by ordinance or resolution, establish a schedule of fees, charges, and expenses and a collection procedure for improvement location permits, amendments, appeals, variances, conditional use permits, plan approvals, and other matters pertaining to the administration and enforcement of this ordinance requiring investigations, legal, advertising, postage, and other expenses. The schedule of fees shall be posted in the office of the Director of and Development and may be altered or amended only by the Common Council. Until all applicable fees, charges, and expenses have been paid in full, no action shall be taken on any application or appeal.

Section 1. Application and Filing Fees

  • Board of Zoning Appeals

    1. Conditional Use

    Section 2. Charge for Ordinance Violations

  • Zoning and Subdivision
    Violations of the provisions of this Ordinance or failure to comply with any of its requirements, including violations of conditions and safeguards established in connection with grants of variances, conditional uses, or planned developments shall constitute a common nuisance. Any person convicted of violating this Ordinance {shall be fined three hundred dollars ($300.00) and not more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) for a first violation, and not less than five hundred dollars ($500) and not more than seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) for subsequent violations. Each day of any violation or non-compliance shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this Ordinance.  In addition, any person convicted of violating this Ordinance shall be required to pay all costs and expenses, including the City and Department's attorneys' fees, related to adjudicating the offense.} ORD #32-07-19
  • Building
    Any person or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this Chapter of the Code or fail to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall build, reconstruct, or structurally alter any building in violation of any detailed statement or plan submitted and approved there under shall, for each and every violation or non-compliance, be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less {than three hundred dollars ($300) and not more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) for a first violation, and not less than five hundred dollars ($500) and not more than seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) for subsequent violations.  Each Day of any violation or non-compliance shall constitute a separate and distinct violation of this Ordinance.  In addition, any person convicted of violating this Ordinance shall be required to pay all costs and expenses, including the City and Department's attorneys' fees, related to adjudicating the offense.} ORD #32-07-19
  • Human Portable Signs (Commercial Signs and Signs containing political or other protected free-speech information) (Effective 12-10-2010)
    Any person or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this section of the Unified Development (Code of Ordinances) or fail to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, shall be guilty of a Class C Infraction for the first time offense in a calendar year and may be fined up to {Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.). For second time offenses within a calendar year, it shall be considered a Class B Infraction and may be fined up to Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.); and the third or subsequent offenses within a calendar year shall be a Class A Infraction and may be fined up to Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.)  In addition, any person convicted of violating this Ordinance shall be required to pay all costs and expenses, including the City and Department's attorneys' fees, related to adjudicating the offense.} ORD. #31-9-10, ORD #32-07-19

  • Quick Pay Account (QPA)
    The QPA account is a non-interest bearing account into which building contractors can deposit money from which fee payments can be debited.  Fees will be debited from this account at the builder’s request to pay fees associated with their construction projects.  This program is voluntary and individual accounts can be closed with written notification from the builder.
