Remedies
§ 202-88 Penalties for offenses.

Where a person or organization has been found in violation of this chapter, such person or organization shall be punishable by a fine of a minimum of $25 up to the maximum penalty of $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both. Each week's continued violation of this chapter shall be deemed an offense for the purpose of imposing the appropriate fine.
§ 202-89 Alternative penalty.
A.
In addition to the foregoing remedies, an action or proceeding in the name of the Village of Penn Yan may be commenced in any court of competent jurisdiction to compel compliance with or restrain violation of this chapter or orders issued in compliance with this chapter.
B.
In the case of any violation or threatened violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or conditions imposed by the Village Board of Trustees or Planning Board, in addition to other remedies herein provided, the Village Board of Trustees may institute any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent such unlawful erection, structural alteration, reconstruction, moving and/or use, to restrain, correct or abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure or land or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about such premises.
