5.01. Fees for zoning amendments. A fee of $200.00 shall be paid to the City of Ponchatoula by any applicant applying for a change or amendment to this ordinance. The fee of $200.00 shall be collected per each zoning amendment requested. If the application involves an area or block amendment, the fee shall be $400.00, paid for by the persons requesting the amendment. These fees are nonrefundable, regardless of the decision reached by the planning and zoning commission or by the city council. When applications for amendments are withdrawn (as per section 5.02) by the applicant, 50 percent of their fees may be refunded, if withdrawn before the first newspaper notice is filed.

5.02. Withdrawal of applications. Any application which the applicant wishes to withdraw from either the planning and zoning public hearing or the city council's public hearing, must be requested in writing and submitted to the secretary of the planning and zoning commission before six months from the date of withdrawal, unless voted otherwise by majority vote of the commission.

5.03. [Temporary commercial trailer permits.] Temporary commercial trailer permits shall be $25.00 for each time and each trailer for which such permit is obtained.

5.04. [Moving permits.] Moving permits for homes and trailers moved within the city shall be $25.00 for each structure being moved.

5.05. [Variance requests.] Variance requests shall be accompanied by a fee of $25.00.

5.06. [Payment of fees; processing of permits.] All fees are to be paid to the City of Ponchatoula, and all permits are to be processed by the secretary of the zoning commission.
