Amendments

§ 100-34 Procedure for amendments.

The Zoning Ordinance or parts thereof may be amended or repealed by the Borough Council in accordance with provisions of the MPC and with the following procedures:
A. 
Any amendment or repeal may be initiated by:
(1) 
The Borough Planning Commission.
(2) 
The Borough Council.
(3) 
A petition by the owner of the property involved or by a party having interest therein.
B. 
Proposed amendments shall be submitted to the Borough Council at a regular or special meeting of the Borough Council.
C. 
Before voting on the enactment of an amendment, the Borough Council shall hold a public hearing thereon in accordance with the requirements of the MPC. As required by the MPC, the public shall be notified of the amendment and hearing, such notice shall be posted on any affected tract of land, and the amendment shall be referred to the Borough Planning Commission and McKean County Planning Commission for review.
D. 
An application for amendment shall be submitted in a form prescribed by Borough Council containing the following minimum information:
(1) 
The name, address and phone number of the applicant or his agent.
(2) 
The applicant's legal interest in the affected properties.
(3) 
A map showing the location of the affected property(ies), the present and proposed zoning classification and boundaries and a perimeter sketch of the affected property(ies) showing dimensions and size.
