The Zoning Administrator or his or her duly authorized representative is authorized and directed to administer and enforce all the provisions of this Chapter.

Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, refuses to comply with, or resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be subject to penalties as set forth in Section 1-23. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.

In case any building, structure, or sign is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted, or maintained, or any building, structure, sign, or land is used in violation of this Chapter or other regulation made under authority conferred by this Chapter, the Village, in addition to other remedies, may institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent such unlawful action, to abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business, or use in or about such premises.
