On appeal to the Board of Adjustment by a person aggrieved by an order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Development Services Director or by the Code Administrator II, such person, at the time of filing the notice of appeal, shall pay to the Development Services Director a fee in the amount provided in Chapter 6, Article 6 of this code of ordinances. Upon the filing of the notice and payment of the fee, if the appeal is taken from an order, requirement, decision, or determination of the Code Administrator II, the Director shall in writing notify the Inspector thereof.

The fee provided in Chapter 6, Article 6 of this code of ordinances shall be paid by the appellant (unless appellant is the city or an officer of the city) to the Development Services Director at the time of filing the notice of appeal.

§ 25-17-3 ADJACENT LANDOWNERS; NAMES; FEES.
The Development Services Director shall cause to be prepared a list of the names of the owners of all lots and tracts of land immediately adjacent on the sides and in the rear of appellant’s property extending 300 feet therefrom, and of the lots and tracts of land directly opposite from appellant’s property extending 300 feet from the street frontage of such opposite lots.
Appeals shall be heard at a time and in a manner prescribed by rules of the Board of Adjustment. Notice of a hearing on an appeal shall be given as required by statute and also shall be served upon the persons whose names are on the list of owners of lots and tracts of land referred to above, either by personal service, by mailing, or by leaving at the last known place of residence, as the Board shall provide.
