CHAPTER 20

08F - MILITARY RESERVATION DISTRICT MR

20.08F.010 - Purpose.

This district acknowledges the limited uses of the publicly-owned military reservation, known as Fort Lewis. This district recognizes that the primary purpose of the military reservation is the military mission of training and national defense. A secondary purpose is natural resource production. Although Thurston County does not have regulatory authority over federally-owned lands, these regulations would apply to the extent allowed by federal law.

20.08F.020 - Permitted uses.

Subject to the provisions of this title, the following uses are permitted in this district:

1.

Military training and national defense;

2.

Forest practices; and

3.

Open space.

20.08F.040 - Design standards.

The following standards are established as the minimum necessary to ensure that the purpose of this district is achieved and maintained:

Maximum building height—see Chapter 20.07;

2.

Minimum yard requirements—see Section 20.07.030.
