ARTICLE III

Establishment of Districts

§ 300-6 Purpose.

In furtherance of those general purposes outlined above, it is the objective of this chapter to define various appropriate categories of residential, mobile home, agricultural and business districts in such manner as to recognize the existing character and quality of land uses and natural features throughout the Town; the cost of, and the ability of the Town of Trenton to provide adequately for, those public services that additional growth will necessitate; and so as to be in accord with the Town Development Plan.

§ 300-7 Designation of districts.

For the purposes of this chapter, the Town of Trenton is divided into the following districts:

Residential Agricultural District
R-R
Residential Rural District
R 1.5
Low-Density Residential District
R 1.0
Medium-Density Residential District
R-M
Residential Mobile Home District
C-B-1
Neighborhood Commercial Business District
C-B-2
Highway Commercial Business District
C-B-3
Industrial Commercial Business District
C-E
Commercial Excavation
L-C
Land Conservation District (Overlay)
W-O
Wellhead Protection Overlay District
P-D
Planned Development District
SR
Seasonal Resort District

§ 300-8 Zoning Map.

The above-established districts are delineated on a Zoning Map entitled "Zoning Map, Town of Trenton, New York," which map, with all amendments thereto, is hereby made a part of this chapter.[1]
