ARTICLE II

Districts

For the purpose of this chapter, the Township is hereby divided into districts, which shall be designated as follows:
   A   Residential District
   A-1   Residential District
   A-2   Residential District
   B   Residential District
   C   Residential District
   SC   Shopping Center District
   CR   Commercial Retail Districts, Class L and Class I
   INST   Institutional District
   NH   North Hills Residential District [Added 9-13-2011 by Ord. No. 11-1244]
   EC   Employment Center District 3
   MD   Multi-Dwelling District
   AHS   Apartment House Special District
   OC   Office Center District
   RE   Recreational District
   MHD   Mobile Home Development District
   MRD   Mixed Residential District

§ 255-9. Zoning Map.

The boundaries of said districts shall be as shown upon the map attached to and made a part of this chapter, which shall be designated the Zoning Map. The Zoning Map is further described as that graphic representation of the zoning districts adopted by ordinances of the Board of Commissioners of Upper Dublin Township prepared by Metz Engineers dated March 8, 2002, as the same may be amended from time to time. Said map and all notation, references and other things shown thereon shall be made a part of this chapter, as if the matters and things shown by said map were fully described herein. In the event of any inaccuracy or discrepancy between the depiction of zoning districts shown on the Zoning Map and the descriptions of such zoning districts as set forth in the individual ordinances adopted by the Board of Commissioners, the descriptions set forth in the ordinances shall prevail.

§ 255-10. Interpretation of boundaries.

   A.   Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of the various districts, as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
      (1)   The district boundaries are unless otherwise shown.
      (2)   Where the district boundaries are not shown to be , the boundaries shall be construed to be property lines or dimensions from or .
   B.   Whenever federal- or state-owned property or property owned by any federal or state agency or any political thereof is included in one or more zoning districts, it shall be subject to the provisions of this chapter only insofar as permitted by the Constitution and laws of the United States of America and of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

§ 255-11. Land for governmental functions excluded.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to land and owned and used for the performance of the governmental functions of the Township.
