Zoning compliance permits shall: a) comply with applicable ordinances as provided by this code; b) explain the requirements of the ordinances for those areas that are exempt from the permit fees, but are regulated by ordinances; and c) certify that an applicant has read and examined all the provisions of the laws and ordinances that govern this type of work, fences, concrete placement, trees in easements, window replacement, impervious surface ratio and placement of sheds under two hundred (200) square feet.
The granting of a permit does not presume to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of any state or local law regulating construction or the performance of construction and that the applicant makes this statement under penalty of perjury.
17.80.080 Penalties.
In accordance with Utah Code Annotated §10-9a-803 and §10-3-703, the following penalties apply:
1. Criminal. Any person who violates the Title is guilty of a class C misdemeanor and a fine not to exceed $750.
2. Civil. Any person who violates this Title is subject to a civil fine not to exceed $1,000, per violation, per day that the violation continues after the City gives notice in accordance with Utah Code Annotated §10-9a-803.
