ARTICLE XIII

Fees

§ 150-80 Fees established.

A. 
The following establishes fees for building, zoning and land use applications set by the Washington Township Council for the year 1991. All fees shall be paid at the time of application.
(1) 
Building permit: a fee of $3 per $1,000 or fraction thereof of estimated cost of construction.
(2) 
Campgrounds: a fee of $25 and $1 per camping space, such permit to be renewed annually at a fee of $25. Permits may be transferred, provided that the campground is in compliance with this chapter and a payment of $10 is made.
(3) 
Certificate of occupancy: for the use or change of use of any vacant land or of a building, a fee of $2.
(4) 
Renewal of a building permit: a fee of $2.
(5) 
Application for appeal of the Zoning Officer's decision, a variance or a special exception request. The applicant must pay all costs, including advertising, administrative costs, Board Solicitor fees for the hearing and costs of recording said hearing. The applicant shall provide such fees at the time of the application by making an initial deposit of $100 to be applied toward the cost of the hearing. The applicant shall be required to promptly pay additional amounts, if any, upon demand of the Township. Any unused portion of the deposit will be returned to the applicant.
(6) 
Each petition for rezoning shall be accompanied by a deposit of $300 if a special meeting is requested or the sum of $100 if business can be handled at a regular meeting. The deposit will be used to defray the costs of advertising said petition. The petitioner is responsible for all costs over the initial deposit and must pay upon demand by the Township.
(7) 
Conditional use hearing. The applicant shall make a deposit of $300 if a special meeting is requested or the sum of $100 if business can be handled at a regular meeting. The petitioner is responsible for all costs over the initial deposit and must pay upon demand by the Township.
(8) 
Subdivision Ordinance variance. A fee payable to the Township in the amount of $300 if a special meeting is requested, or the sum of $100 if business can be handled at a regular meeting, must accompany the written variance request. Any necessary costs over and above this amount that are incurred by the Township to conduct the variance request (i.e., potential stenographic records) shall be payable by the applicant upon demand by the Township.
(9) 
Subdivision fees: a fee in the amount of $40, plus $3 per lot, must accompany any major subdivision plan submitted to the Township. A fee of $10, plus $3 per lot, must accompany any minor subdivision plan submitted to the Township.
(10) 
Sign permits: $20 for initial sign permit, all size signs; $20 annual renewal for all signs 50 square feet or larger.
(11) 
Disposal and injection well permits. A payment of $250 is payable to cover administration, legal and engineering review.
(12) 
Disposal and injection well annual fee. The property owner will pay Washington Township the sum of $0.25 for each gallon disposed and/or injected in said well. The payments shall be made each month at the time of the submission of the monthly gallonage report and shall cover the administration, inspection and engineering costs of the Township.
(13) 
Manufactured home park license. All applications submitted shall be accompanied by a fee of $20, plus $2 per manufactured home lot. Application for an annual license shall be submitted with a fee of $25.
(14) 
Junkyard license. Applications submitted to the Township shall be accompanied by a fee of $200 and must be renewed annually for the same fee.
B. 
The Township Council, at its yearly reorganization meeting, shall establish all fees required hereunder. It may raise or lower the fee of any permit at that meeting. All permit fee schedules are posted at the Township Municipal Building.
