1. It is the duty of the Zoning Administrator, with the aid of the Police Department and the City Attorney, to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The Zoning Administrator shall promptly report all violations to the City Attorney and the Mayor.
2. If any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted, moved, or maintained or any building, structure, or land is used in violation of this chapter or in violation of the terms and conditions of any permit, conditions, or regulations issued or made under the authority of this chapter, the City Attorney, at the direction of the Council, shall, in addition to other remedies, institute any appropriate action or proceedings in any court to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, movement, maintenance, or use, to restrain, correct, or abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business, or use in or about such premises.
3. Any person who violates, disobeys, neglects, or fails to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter or any of the terms and conditions of any permit or regulation made under the authority of this chapter shall be guilty of a simple misdemeanor and a municipal infraction. Each day that a violation exists or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
