Special Use Permits and Special Permits
§ 150-132 Terminology.
As used in this chapter, the terms "special use permit" and "special permit" shall have the same meaning.
§ 150-133 Area and use regulations.
Area and use regulations applicable to particular uses, as governed by separate provisions herein, shall apply to those uses.
§ 150-134 Criteria for issuance of special use permit.
When considering an application for a special use permit, the Board of Trustees shall ensure, at a minimum, that the proposed use:
A.
Will be properly located in regard to transportation, water supply, waste disposal, fire protection and other facilities;
B.
Will not create undue traffic congestion, traffic hazard, or circulation conflicts;
C.
Will not adversely affect the value of property, character of the neighborhood or the pattern of development;
D.
Will encourage an appropriate use of land consistent with the needs of the Village; and
E.
Will not impair the public health or safety.
