The intent of the R-2 district is to contribute to the diversification and variety of the community's housing supply and provide locations suitable for residential accommodations, in proximity to shopping services and access to existing and planned major highway routes, depending upon the availability of full public infrastructure services as defined in Article 24.01.b. Those locations that lawfully connect existing sewer mains or laterals shall receive consideration for this zoning district designation.
