Blanding City Zoning Code

1. Specified: For all permitted uses which are established after the effective date hereof, off street parking and loading in the amounts specified for permitted uses in chapters 5 through 8, including the articles therein, of this title, shall be provided and maintained.
2. Applicability: These requirements shall not be retroactive in uses existing on the effective date hereof, but shall apply to any expansion of these uses which takes place after that date.
3. Same Lot And Ownership: Off street parking and loading facilities shall be provided on the same zone lot and under the same ownership as the permitted use for which the parking is required.
4. Joint Use: Parking spaces required by each of two (2) or more permitted uses located on the same zone lot need not be separated and may be used jointly.

Off street parking and loading required by this title shall be maintained in accordance with the following specifications:

1. Sizes: Individual parking and loading spaces shall be at least two hundred (200) square feet in size; and
2. Use: Parking and loading areas provided under the requirements of this title shall not be used for the sale, repair or servicing of vehicles and equipment; and
3. Grading; Drainage: Parking and loading areas shall be graded for proper drainage and provided with an all weather surface of gravel, asphalt or concrete; and
4. Usable, Accessible: Each parking or loading space must be usable and readily accessible; and
5. Entrances, Exits: Parking and loading areas shall be provided with entrances and exits located so as to minimize traffic congestion.
