Words. Unless the context otherwise requires, words used in the present tense shall include the future; the singular number shall include the plural, and the plural, the singular; the word "shall" shall be taken as mandatory and not optional; and the words "building," "used," and "abut" shall be interpreted as follows:
ABUT — Touching or adjoining.
BUILDING — Any building or structure.
USED — Arranged, designed, constructed, altered, converted, rented, leased, to make use of or intended to be used.
