The zoning ordinance shall be published in a separate volume, a copy of which shall be filed with the County Administrator.

This zoning ordinance is adopted pursuant to authority granted in the South Carolina Local Government Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act of 1994, S.C. Code 1976, § 6-29-310 et seq. This ordinance may be cited as "Calhoun County Zoning Ordinance, 2015."

The provisions of this ordinance shall apply to all land and improvements within the unincorporated areas of Calhoun County, South Carolina. The purpose of the zoning ordinance is to implement the land use element of the comprehensive plan for those purposes set forth in S.C. Code 1976, § 6-29-710.

The administration of this ordinance shall be the responsibility of the permitting agent(s) or licensing agent(s) appointed by the County Council. The permitting and/or licensing agent(s) shall have the authority to issue permits and make all decisions concerning compliance with this ordinance.
