- INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS—GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
This Article contains requirements common to all industrial districts.

The Industrial Districts are designed to achieve the following purposes:
(a)
To reserve appropriately located land for various types of industrial uses as designated in the General Plan.
(b)
To protect areas appropriate for industrial use from intrusion by residences and inharmonious uses.
(c)
To protect properties from noise, odor, dirt, smoke, vibration, heat, glare, fire, explosion, noxious fumes, radiation and other hazardous and objectionable influences incidental to certain industrial uses.
(d)
To provide opportunities for certain types of industrial lands to concentrate in mutually beneficial relationships to each other.
(e)
To provide adequate space to meet the needs of modern industrial development, including off-street parking and truck loading areas.

The following districts are established for industrial purposes:
M1 Light Industrial
M2 Heavy Industrial

The following applies to industrial districts:
(a)
The City Engineer, planning and building officials shall verify compliance of proposed uses with applicable city codes, standards and regulations prior to issuing any permit.
(b)
Open and unlandscaped portions of lots shall be maintained in good condition free from weeds, dust, trash and debris.
