- M2 - HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
The M2, Heavy Industrial District is intended for urban areas designated for heavy industrial use in the General Plan.

The following uses are permitted in the M2 District:
(a)
Uses permitted in the M1 District.
(b)
If the entirety of the lot is at least one hundred fifty-five (155) from any portion of any family residential zone, then heavy manufacturing, assembly, and repair uses are allowed, including:
1.
Apparel and other finished products made from fabrics and similar materials, et al. [SIC 230]
2.
Automobile
3.
Electronic and other electrical equipment and components, except computer equipment, et al. [SIC 360]
4.
Energy [alternative] generation and related manufacturing and servicing
5.
Fabricated metal products, except machinery and transportation equipment, et al. [SIC 340]
6.
Food and kindred products, et al. [SIC 200 w/exception of 207 moved to M2 conditional use]
7.
Furniture and fixtures, et al. [SIC 250]
8.
Industrial and commercial machinery and computer equipment, et al. [SIC 350]
9.
Leather and leather products, et al. [SIC 310]

Lumber and wood products, except furniture, et al. [SIC 240]

Structure requirements (m2).
(a)
The minimum lot size in an M2 District is one-half acre or twenty-one thousand seven hundred eighty (21,780) square feet.
(b)
There are no minimum setback requirements in the M2 District.
(c)
Where a lot in a Heavy Industrial (M2) district adjoins or is located across a street or alley from a residential district, said lot must be fenced with an approved sound wall on all residential side(s).
