The purpose of the public district is to provide for a wide variety of uses for the general public benefit and is applied to public or private land areas currently used or planned for public uses. Any allowed uses must be attractively designed and must incorporate measures to ensure compatibility with adjacent residential and commercial uses.
Allowed Accessory Uses. Accessory buildings and uses that are minor in nature and clearly subordinate to the main use; provided, that no accessory building shall be constructed prior to the construction of the main buildings, nor on a separate lot from the main building.

§ 17.23.030 Development standards.
The following standards apply to development in the P district:
Maximum height of buildings and structures: 30 feet, except that when P-zoned property directly abuts residentially zoned property, all structures within 50 feet of the residential property line shall have a height not to exceed the maximum permitted in the adjacent residential district.
