ZONING MAP
The city is divided into land use districts as defined in the City of Chipley Comprehensive Plan and identified on the Future Land Use 2001 Map.

Changes shall be made in the zoning map upon the official action of the city council and entries shall be signed by the mayor and attested by the city clerk.

Where uncertainty exists as to the boundaries of zoning districts on the official zoning map, the following rules shall apply:
(1)
Boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerline of streets, following platted lot lines and following city limits shall be construed as following such centerlines, lot lines and city limit lines.
(2)
Boundaries indicated as following railroad lines shall be construed to be midway between the main tracks.
(3)
Other interpretations shall be made initially by the building and zoning director with right of appeal to the planning and zoning commission.

Upon extension of city boundaries, the annexed areas shall be automatically zoned for the highest residential use until studies can be made and a public hearing held for the best zoning for such areas.
