- VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES
In case any building or structure is erected, structurally altered, or maintained or any building, structure or land is used in violation of this ordinance, any proper officials of the City of Crowley, Louisiana, or their duly authorized representatives, in addition to other remedies, may institute any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent such unlawful erection, structural alteration, maintenance, use, or other violations, to restrain, correct or abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure, or land or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business or use in or about such premises. Each day such violation continues shall constitute a separate violation.
Each day that any violation of any provision of this ordinance continues or exists, shall constitute a separate offense and a misdemeanor. The violation of any provision hereof shall be punished by fine not exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding five (5) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
