ARTICLE X
Amendments
§ 125-44 Procedure.
A.
The Village Board may from time to time, on its own motion, amend, supplement or repeal the regulations and provisions of this chapter.
B.
No such regulation or provision shall become effective until after a public hearing is held.
C.
The Village Board, by resolution adopted at a stated meeting, shall fix the time and place of a public hearing on such proposed amendment and cause notice to be given as follows:
(1)
By publishing a notice of the time and place of such hearing in a newspaper of general circulation at least 15 days prior to the date of such public hearing.
(2)
By mailing a notice thereof to any association of residents of the Village which shall have registered its name and address for this purpose with the Village Clerk.
D.
Every such proposed amendment or change shall become effective only by a favorable vote of 3/4 of the members of the Board of Trustees.
