Recreation/Public Open Space

§ 265-218 Purpose and composition.

The Recreation/Public Open Space (RPOS) District is established to provide a location for city-wide recreation and to preserve public open space throughout the neighborhoods and the urban core. This district will exclude development of any use not pertaining to recreation or the preservation of open space.

§ 265-219 Permitted uses.

The following uses shall be permitted: only institutional and community service uses such as parks (public); recreational facilities such as but not limited to public swimming pools, playgrounds, ball fields, walking tracks, bike trails, nature trails, amphitheaters, botanical gardens, basketball courts, tennis courts, batting cages, picnic pavilions, volleyball courts and ice rinks. There shall be no agricultural uses, residential uses, industrial trade and warehouse uses, utility uses or commercial uses (except in conjunction with the before-mentioned use).

§ 265-220 Special exception uses.

The following shall be special exception uses: none.

§ 265-221 Minimum lot size.

For the purpose of public use there shall be no minimum lot size.

§ 265-222 Height.

For the purpose of public use and recreation, there shall be no limitation on height.

§ 265-223 Area requirements.

For the purpose of public use and recreation, there shall be no limitation on lot size.
