MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

§ 15-1201 Interpretation; Effect on Other Provisions.

[Ord. 05-01-01, 5/7/2001]
1.
In interpreting and applying the provisions of this chapter, the provisions hereof shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of health, safety, morals, and the general welfare of the Township.
2.
This chapter is not intended to interfere with, or abrogate or annul other rules, regulations, or ordinances of the Township, provided that where this chapter imposes a greater restriction upon the use of land or premises, or upon the construction of a building or requires larger open spaces than are imposed by other rules, regulations, or ordinances, the provisions of this chapter shall control. Where another rule, regulations or ordinance imposes a greater restriction, etc., as above, than this chapter, the provisions of that other ordinance, rule or regulation shall control.

§ 15-1202 Severability and Validity.

[Ord. 05-01-01, 5/7/2001]
1.
The provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable, and if any provision, sentence, clause section, part or application thereof shall be held illegal, invalid, or unconstitutional, by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality or unconstitutionality shall not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, clauses, sentences, sections or applications.
2.
It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent of the Supervisors of Gregg Township that this Ordinance would have been adopted had such illegal, invalid, or unconstitutional provision, sentence, clause, section or part not been included therein and if such illegal, invalid, or unconstitutional application had been specifically exempted therefrom.

§ 15-1203 Warning and Disclaimer of Liability.

[Ord. 05-01-01, 5/7/2001]
This chapter shall not create liability on the part of Gregg Township, or any officer or employee thereof, for any damage of any sort that may result from reliance on this chapter, or any provision thereof, or any administrative decision lawfully made thereunder.

For the purposes of this provision, "residential rentals" shall mean the rental or leasing of dwelling units for residential occupancy, either on a short-term or long-term basis.
