After the annexation of any area(s) to the City of Grenada, the Planning and Zoning Commission shall undertake a study of such area(s) annexed and shall develop zoning classifications of any annexed land and shall report thereon to the City Council, giving their recommendations as to the proper classifications. Such zoning classifications shall be prepared in a timely manner to allow the City Council to set a public hearing date concerning the zoning classification and establish such zoning classifications as soon as possible after the court approved annexation. Procedures set forth in Article IX of this ordinance shall be followed concerning zoning of amended area(s).
