ARTICLE XXVI

Prohibited Uses

§ 215-146 General prohibition.

All uses not expressly permitted in this chapter are prohibited, and the following designated uses are specifically prohibited in all zone districts.

§ 215-147 Aircraft only in connection with airport.

The landing, taking off, parking, storing or maintaining of any aircraft or airborne vehicle, except in connection with an airport, is prohibited. Exception: Operations associated with medevac and governmental aircraft.

§ 215-148 Maintenance of inoperable vehicles.

The maintenance in any yard, area or open space of any nonregistered, inoperable, wrecked or junked automobile or vehicle, except as otherwise specifically permitted by any provision of this chapter, is prohibited.[1]

§ 215-149 Exceeding weight allowance.

The keeping of more than one commercial vehicle exceeding 8,000 pounds gross vehicle weight in any residential zone district is prohibited. (See § 215-119.)

§ 215-150 Movable dwellings.

Tourist cabins, house trailers, tents and all other movable dwellings are prohibited and may not be occupied, erected or moved into any zone district, except as otherwise specifically permitted by any provision of this chapter.

§ 215-151 Trailers.

The parking, storing, keeping or maintaining of trailers, except as otherwise specifically permitted by any provision of this chapter, is prohibited.

§ 215-151.1 Cannabis.

The operation of all classes of cannabis establishments as defined by P.L. 2021, c. 16, including but not limited to cannabis retailers, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, testing facilities, delivery services, medical cannabis dispensaries and alternative cannabis treatment centers, including such operators holding a medical cannabis dispensary permit pursuant to P.L. 2009, c. 307 (N.J.S.A. 24:6I-7), are expressly prohibited uses within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Borough of Hamburg.
