Car Wash Standards
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this Chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this Section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Car Wash, Automatic - A structure or portion thereof containing facilities for washing automobiles, using automated production line methods such as, but not limited to, chain conveyor, movable or revolving cleaning brushes, blower, or similar mechanical devices. An automatic car wash may include vacuum stations.
Car Wash, Manual - A structure or portion thereof containing facilities for washing automobiles, limited to using only hand operated manual spray cleaning equipment and techniques. A manual car wash may include vacuum stations.
Vacuum Station - A location where individuals can use a commercial vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of their vehicle. A vacuum station is most commonly combined with a commercial car wash.

Car washes are prohibited east of I-15.
2.
Car washes are prohibited within three hundred feet (300') of a residential zone or a residential use. The distance shall be measured in a straight line from property boundary to property boundary.

Automatic car washes shall have an on-site staff during business hours.
2.
All vacuum stations shall have an individual on/off switch, so customers must turn on the vacuum to use the vacuum.
3.
Vacuum stations and related equipment shall comply with the distance requirements from residential and setbacks for the principal structure.
4.
No amplified audio systems are permitted.

The site shall provide sufficient space to maintain vehicle stacking on site and shall not back onto any public right-of-way.
