The Planning Commission has the following powers and jurisdiction:

1. To hear and make recommendations to the City Council on rezoning applications insuring that the application is consistent with the adopted Master Plan.
2. To hear and make recommendations to the City Council on proposed changes to the language of this ordinance.
3. To review and recommend to the City Council approval or denial of subdivision plats, both those of which that are within the corporate limits of the City as well as those that are within one mile of said corporate limits.
4. To review and recommend to the City Council approval or denial of annexation requests.
5. To review and if in compliance, approve Development Plans and Planned Unit Developments.
6. To review and recommend to the City Council approval or denial of requests for water and/or sewer outside City limits.
