DESIGN CRITERIA
(a)
Building plans for all new construction must adhere to the following standards except as provided in Subsection (c), below:
(1)
The design criteria set forth herein shall apply to all new development and redevelopment except as provided in Subsection (c), below.
(2)
One-hundred percent of all vertical surfaces will require, whether real or imitation, two or more of the following surfaces:
a.
Rock or stone.
b.
Wood.
c.
Stucco.
d.
Wainscoting.
e.
Plank.
f.
Timber.
g.
Brick.
(3)
Roof, regardless of materials must be earth tone in color.
(4)
Materials not listed above may be reviewed through the special review process.
(b)
No building permit shall be issued for any structure unless a colored conceptual design including exterior surfaces and colors to be used is submitted to the Planning Commission after which it will be submitted to the Town Council for consideration. The Planning Commission has 30 days to review, or it is automatically approved by the commission and sent to the Town Council for consideration.
(c)
The requirements of this Section shall not apply to single family residences.
