In interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements, adopted for the promotion of the health, safety, morals or general welfare of the community. It is not intended by this chapter to repeal, abrogate or annul or in any way impair or interfere with any existing provisions of any other law or ordinance, or with any rules, regulations or permits previously adopted or issued relating to the use of buildings or premises, except insofar as the provisions contained herein supersede or replace the provisions of the ordinance (2020-28), as amended, they shall be regarded and applied as remaining in force and effect up until the date of the adoption of the provisions contained herein. Wherever the requirements of this chapter are at variance with the requirements of any other lawfully adopted laws, rules, regulations or ordinances, the most restrictive shall apply.
