Effectively regulate the establishment and maintenance of limited heavy industrial uses as defined herein.

Establish operational, dimensional, and design standards minimizing adverse impacts on surrounding uses and districts.

The provisions of the Limited Heavy Industrial Overlay District shall serve as a supplement to the underlying district provisions.

In the case of conflict between the provisions or requirements of this district and those of any underlying district, the Limited Heavy Industrial Overlay District provision shall apply.

A change in the underlying zoning shall not affect the classification of any land zoned as the Limited Heavy Industrial Overlay District.

Uses contained in §§ 275-122 and 275-122.1 of the LI Light Industrial District.

Junk dealers and junkyards as permitted in Chapter 150, Junk Dealers and Junkyards.

Uses specified in § 275-231 shall comply with the standards set forth in § 275-124, Performance standards, for the Light Industrial District.

Uses specified in § 275-231 shall comply with the dimensional standards set forth in § 275-125, Dimensional standards, for the Light Industrial District.

In the event that any section, sentence, clause or word of this article shall be declared illegal, invalid or unconstitutional by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such declaration shall not prevent, preclude or otherwise foreclose the validity of the remaining portions of this article.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith or in conflict with any of the specific terms enacted hereby, to the extent of said inconsistencies or conflicts, are hereby specifically repealed, unless this section, §§ 275-229 to 275-233, specifically provides that criteria in the underlying zoning district shall apply.

This article shall become effective upon enactment by the Board of Supervisors.
