In interpreting and applying the provisions of this ordinance, they shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the health, safety, morals or general welfare of the village. It is not intended by this ordinance to interfere with, abrogate, or annul any easements, covenants or other agreements between parties; provided, however, that where the regulations of this ordinance on a stated point are more restrictive than regulations on the same point as contained in any other law or ordinance or in restrictions by deed or subdivision in any R district, the provisions of this ordinance shall govern; and where the regulations of the other law or ordinance or restrictions in any R district are more restrictive than those of this ordinance, the other shall govern.

If any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or other part or provision of this ordinance is declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the part so declared to be invalid.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
