GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 155.001 AUTHORITY.
The ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted pursuant to and in accordance with the authority vested in the Town Council under UCA §§ 10-9a-101 et seq., as amended.

§ 155.002 SHORT TITLE.
This chapter shall be known, cited and referred to as the “Zoning Ordinance of Oak City, Utah”.

§ 155.003 PURPOSE.
These regulations have been made in accordance with the policies and recommendations set forth in a duly adopted general plan and have been enacted:
(A) To lessen congestion in the streets by coordinating land use with transportation policies;
(B) To secure safety from fire, floods and other hazards;
(C) To provide for adequate provision of needed public facilities to serve present and future population;
(D) To conserve the value of buildings and land by ensuring a compatible arrangement of land uses; and
(E) To otherwise promote the public health and general welfare of the community.
