No building or premises shall be used and no building shall be erected which is arranged, intended or designed to be used, nor shall any building be altered to be used for manufacturing purposes except within the territory known as the Industrial District of the city.

1. No building or premises shall be used, and no building shall be erected, which is arranged, intended or designed to be used, nor shall any building be altered to be used for any of the following purposes:
   1. Abattoirs.
   2. Acetylene gas manufacture.
   3. Acid manufacture.
   4. Ammonia, bleaching powder or chlorine manufacture.
   5. Arsenal.
   6. Asphalt manufacture or refining.
   7. Candle manufacture.
   8. Celluloid manufacture or treatment.
   9. Coke ovens.
   10. Crematory.
   11. Creosote treatment or manufacture.
   12. Disinfectant, insecticide or poison manufacture.
   13. Distillation of bones, coal or wood.
   14. Dyestuff manufacture.
   15. Fat rendering.
   16. Fertilizer manufacture.
   17. Fireworks or explosives manufacture or storage.
   18. Fish smoking and curing.
   19. Gas (illuminating or heating) manufacture.
   20. Glue, size or gelatin manufacture.
   21. Gunpowder manufacture or storage.
   22. Incineration or reduction of garbage, dead animals, offal or refuse, except for municipal purposes.
   23. Multifamily dwelling.
   24. Oilcloth or linoleum manufacture.
   25. Oiled rubber or leather goods manufacture.
   26. Petroleum refining or storage.
   27. Rock crusher.
   28. Rubber, caoutchouc or gutta-percha manufacture or treatment.
   29. Salt works.
   30. Sauerkraut, sausage or bologna manufacture.
   31. Single-family dwelling.
   32. Smelters.
   33. Special uses halfway houses.
   34. Stone mill or quarry.
   35. Sulphuric, nitric, hydrochloric or picric acid manufacture.
   36. Tallow, grease or lard manufacture or refining.
   37. Tar distillation or manufacture.
   38. Tar roofing or waterproofing manufacture.
   39. Two-family dwelling.
   40. Vinegar manufacture.
   41. Wool pulling or scouring.
   42. Yeast plant.
2. In general those uses which have been declared a nuisance in any court of record or which is or may be obnoxious or offensive by reason of the emission of odor, vapor, smoke, gas or noise.

No building or premises shall be used, and no building shall be erected, which is arranged, intended or designed to be used, nor shall any building be altered to be used, for a gasoline service station within the following described area in the industrial district: lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of block 34 of the original town, now city of Oregon, further described as part of the "fire zone" of the city.
