- ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONING DISTRICTS
The city is hereby subdivided into general purpose and special purpose zoning districts as shown on the official zoning map of the City of Ozark. This official map, together with all explanatory materials it contains, is made a part of this appendix. This map shall be kept in the office of the planning and inspection department. The official zoning map adopted by this ordinance supersedes and replaces in its entirety that certain official zoning map, adopted by Ordinance 2003-10 on October 7, 2003 and as the same was amended thereafter.
The official zoning map shall be signed by the mayor and attested by the city clerk, and shall show the number and date of adoption of this appendix.
Any changes made in district boundaries, or any other matter portrayed on the map, shall be entered on the map by ordinance number and date of adoption within ten (10) days of such adoption.
If the official zoning map becomes damaged, destroyed, lost or difficult to interpret because of the nature and/or number of changes and additions, the city council may by resolution adopt a new official zoning map. The new map may correct drafting or other errors or omissions, but no such correction shall result in amending the map.

For the purposes of this appendix, the area within the corporate boundary of the city is subdivided into the following zoning districts:

The boundaries of the zoning districts as shown on the official zoning map are intended, as far as possible, to follow lot lines, the center lines of streets or alleys, the centerline of railroad tracks, the centerlines of streams and watercourses, and the corporate boundary. Where any boundary cannot be accurately determined from the map, the board of adjustment shall determine where such boundary is officially located.
Following the adoption of this appendix, any property annexed into the city shall be immediately and automatically placed in the R-H: Rural and holding district. Any subsequent rezoning of such property shall follow the procedures for map amendment set forth in this appendix.
