This chapter shall be known as the "Zoning Code" of the Borough of Riverton referred to in this chapter in the short form as "this code."

The purpose of this code is to consolidate the zoning regulations and achieve substantial conformity with the primary elements of the Master Plan of the Borough of Riverton and to make such regulations substantially consistent with the land use element of the Master Plan.

The intent of this code is to define the zoning regulations for, but not limited to, the use of land and structures, area of lots, bulk of buildings and other structures, the provision of on- and off-street parking, accessory uses, permitted uses, fences, signs and similar regulations for the Borough of Riverton, Burlington County, New Jersey, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A. 40:55 et seq.).
