The provisions of these regulations shall be enforced by the Construction Official.

Any person who knowingly permits, takes part or assists in any violation of this chapter and who refuses to abate said violation or violations within five days after written notice has been served upon that person, either by mail or by personal service, shall for each and every violation be subject to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Court. Each and every day that such violation continues after such notice shall be considered a separate and specific violation of this chapter.

In addition to the penalty provisions set forth above, the Construction Official, at the direction of the Planning Board or the Governing Body, shall take any action in law or in equity or as may be provided by statute, ordinance or regulation deemed necessary to enforce compliance with this Chapter 34, Zoning.
