CHAPTER 12
40 ENVIRONMENT
Section 12-40.01 Conformance to state provisions.
The City, all public agencies of the City and every citizen of Santa Maria have the responsibility to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act, and to comply with the environmental guidelines adopted by the Department for Resources of California which are found in Division 6, Title 14 of the Administrative Code.

Section 12-40.02 Environmental review procedures.
(a)
In accordance with the provisions mentioned in Section 12-40.01, the City has adopted the document, "Environmental Procedures," which outlines the City's environmental review process.
(b)
All zoning actions are required to follow the procedures as set forth in "Environmental Procedures," as established by Resolution Number 77-4396, or as the same may be amended from time to time.
