TABLE OF USES

PREFACE: How to read the Table of Uses:

P = Permitted: A use with a "P" in a certain zone means that use is permitted by right in that zone.

PR = Permitted with Restrictions: A use with a "PR" in a certain zone means that there are certain restrictions for that use within that zone. Refer to part 18 of the Town of Somerville Zoning Ordinance for the restrictions.

SE = Special Exception: A special exception is intended to allow the establishment of those uses which have some special impact or uniqueness such that their effect on the surrounding environment which cannot be determined in advance of the use being proposed for a particular location. The special exception provides the Town of Somerville with the means to review the location, design, configuration of uses, and potential impact and compatibility with the surrounding area. For more information, please refer to section 14-2-204 of the Town of Somerville Zoning Ordinance.

Blank = Expressly Prohibited: All uses with a blank space in a certain use are expressly prohibited and not subject to appeal. These uses will require rezoning of a property in order for that use to be allowed on that property.
